HEICups

I’m working on the final draft of my post on my experience at Alinea and I had to (I sort of wanted to) renew my Adobe account to convert my phone’s HEIC photos to something WordPress would recognize, so that’s delaying me even more.

HEIC photos are a constant pain, probably for most people not just me, because it’s an Apple native format that many apps still don’t support. It’s much better lately now that Windows natively supports HEIC photos and most legit photo editing apps do as well, but SaaS systems like WordPress still aren’t on the wagon. Even though at least half of WordPress’ users likely have iPhones!

It’s easy to convert HEIC photos to JPG or GIF using Windows’ built-in photo tools, but I figured while I’m at it I should just get Lightroom again so I can make more professional looking edits. Lightroom also exports JPGs in much higher resolution than Windows’ photo app.

So that’s my morning! Hope you’re all having a great Thursday. Tomorrow is weekend-eve!

    1. It’s fun when I feel like doing it but I never feel like doing it when I actually need to. Lol
